cue the Happy Cookie Baking Song.

i cannot tell you how excited i was to like bake for the first time.

went to Tesco yesterday and just randomly had the motivation to just maybe bake.

so mum and i grabbed some basic cooking utensils like the whisk and the butter spoon and a kitchen weighing machine.

mum said we already have 2 mixing bowls at home because somebody gave them to us and we have not used them at all since.

and of course some pre-made flour for cookies.

(so no, i didn't start from scratch but the next time it will be! *cues motivational instrumental music*)

wanted cupcakes at first but the thought just slipped away when the cookies came to mind.

i bought another one for pancakes but will do that next time.

got up early with the help of the alarm clock just because...

butter wasn't soft so had to like wait around for it to melt a bit with the help of the egg.

then the whisk was brought in together with the flour.

then it's basically just mix and mix and mix for everything to be well-merged.

then comes the part with the spoon and scooping them into the tray.

then it was into the oven they go!

after 15 minutes they are risen!

right: first batch removed from the tray and second batch ready to be baked.

these were the ones that were baked without a mold.
so mum said they came out more cookie-like than the ones in the muffin tray.

and of course, they taste just like the butter cookies you buy in a round London tin.
